INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Midway bowling programs took part in the massive Columbia 300 Western Shootout over the weekend, competing in a field of over 1,000 individuals.
Behind an eighth-place finish by
Maggie Coleman, the Eagle women finished 49th in a 64-team field, while the men were 56th out of 78.Â
The women's team rolled a 4,302 in the team rounds and a 2,259 in baker for a final score of 6,561. The men rolled a 4,623 in team play and a 2,520 in baker to finish with 7,143.
WOMEN'S RESULTS
Coleman finished individual competition by knocking down 1,079 pins for a five-game average of 215.8.
She averaged a 233.7 in her first three games, a stretch highlighted by a 255-pin performance in game two, which was the second-best score of anyone in the round.
Others to place in the top-200 were Savanna Hot-Siler (135th, 884 pins),
Madison Blankenship (178th, 800) and
Kaitlyn McNutt (183rd, 792).
MEN'S RESULTS
Logan Tincher was the top finisher for the Eagles, rolling a 918 over five game (183.6 average) to finishing in the 200th spot.
Other noteworthy finishers were
Vincent Biehn (260th, 777 pins) and
Christopher Smith (274th, 759).
