SMYRNA, Tenn. - Midway had two standout individual performances, as the men's bowling season concluded with a 14th-place finish at the Intercolleigate Team Sectionals, hosted by the United States Bowling Congress over the weekend.
Leading the charge for the Eagles in individual play was
Logan Tincher, who earned an impressive eighth-place finish in the 173-man field. Tincher finished with a score of 1,325 for a six-game average of 220.8 pins.
He came into his own in games three and four, where he rolled a 258 and 278, both of which were the second-best scores of their respective rounds.
Just outside the top-10 was
Charlie Smith, who finished 12th with a 1,290 total score and 215 average. Smith's best game was a 244 in game five.
Maddox Worthington also made the top-40 with a 39th-place score of 1,216 (202.6 average).Â
Other Eagles to compete were
Ryan Tuite (tied for 63rd, 1,184 pins),
Vincent Biehn (tied for 80th, 1,170),
Johnathan Hatcher (92nd, 1,151) and
Christopher Smith (167th, 950).
