MIDWAY, Ky. - Oakland City recorded a .556 pitting percentage and coasted to a 25-13, 25-15, 25-13 win over Midway in a River States Conference men's volleyball match Tuesday night.
The Eagles scored the first point of the night on a kill by
Lars Ketelaars, but the Mighty Oaks responded by scoring the next seven. Oakland City also opened up the third set with a 7-0 run.
Midway's highlight of the night came in the second set, when it took a 6-4 lead behind three-consecutive service aces by
Luke Wallace.
Jordan Daily had a team-best 10 assists while
JT Kimball had eight kills for 2-17 Midway.
The Eagles, who are 0-7 in the RSC, will be on the road for the next three matches, starting with an 8 p.m. contest at Brescia on Friday.
