LIMA, Ohio - Midway Women's Volleyball looks to get back in the win column on Friday when the Eagles play two matches in the Racer Rumble hosted by the University of Northwestern Ohio (UNOH).

The Eagles (1-8) have continued to battle in every set and will look to close out opportunities this weekend. Allie McClanahan leads the Midway attack with 75 kills, while Mayme Powell and Peyton Osteen have helped run the offense from the setter position. Powell leads the Eagles with 142 assists, while Osteen has dished out 101.

At the net, Morgan Broderick leads Midway with 18.0 total blocks and is averaging 0.58 blocks per set, which ranks fifth in the River States Conference. Mayson Delong follows with 15.0 total blocks.

Powell has also made an impact from the service line, leading the Eagles with 15 service aces. Lanie Cornelius and Marlee Laycock have each recorded 11 aces, while Aubry Kamholz has added eight.

The tri-match begins with a contest against Wright State Lake Campus. The Lakers enter the weekend with a 3-4 record but will face UNOH before taking on Midway. Wright State Lake Campus had a successful 2025 season, finishing fourth in the USCAA. At the USCAA National Tournament, the Lakers fell in straight sets to Penn State York in the third-place match.

This season, the Lakers have seven freshmen on their 15-player roster. Ava Reed leads the offense for Wright State Lake Campus. The freshman from Anna, Ohio, has recorded 50 kills through seven matches. Alexia Dysinger handles the setting duties for the Lakers and has recorded 82 assists on the young season. Junior Madyson Buckingham leads the defensive effort, recording 131 digs with just 11 errors.

The weekend concludes when the Eagles take on the host Racers of UNOH. The Racers enter with a 2-6 record and hold a 4-1 advantage in the all-time series against Midway. The two sides met at a neutral site last season, with the Racers taking the match in straight sets. The Eagles' lone victory in the series came in 2021 when they earned a 3-0 sweep.

UNOH is hitting .081 as a team while averaging 10 kills and two service aces per set. Senior outside hitter Elle Stark leads the Racers' attack with 62 kills. Junior Paige Hoodlebrink has handled the setting duties, recording 144 assists. On the defensive side, junior Riley Treece leads the Racers with 138 digs through eight matches.
