MIDWAY, Ky. -- Midway Women's Soccer returns to action Monday afternoon when the Eagles welcome Indiana Tech to Midway Turf Field for the first-ever meeting between the two programs. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.
The Eagles enter the matchup with a perfect 2-0 record after Friday's scheduled road contest against Cincinnati-Clermont was postponed. Midway opened the 2026 campaign with a 1-0 victory over Berea before picking up a 3-2 win against Defiance College.
The Eagles have received contributions from across the lineup through their first two matches, with four different players finding the back of the net. Sloane Pollock, Chloe Kemper, Courtney Hale and Lacee Brown have each scored once, while Kemper leads the team with three points after adding an assist.
Freshman Addison Hazlett has made an immediate impact on the Midway attack. The Danville, Kentucky, native leads the Eagles with nine shots and four shots on goal while recording a team-best two assists.
Midway has outscored its opponents 4-2 while holding a 25-22 advantage in shots. The Eagles have done all of their scoring in the opening 45 minutes, scoring four first-half goals while holding their opponents scoreless before halftime.
Three different goalkeepers have seen action for the Eagles. Lillian Klee and Lilly Riordan have yet to allow a goal, while Briley Hudnall has made five saves in just over 41 minutes of action. As a group, Midway's goalkeepers have combined for 11 saves and an .846 save percentage.
Indiana Tech enters Monday searching for its first victory of the season with an 0-4-1 record.
The Warriors have faced a challenging non-conference schedule that has included nationally ranked #8 Grace and #17 Taylor. Indiana Tech is coming off a 5-0 loss at Campbellsville on Saturday.
Offensively, Indiana Tech has scored two goals this season, with Chante Perkins and Isidora Pozo finding the back of the net. Leticia Guimaraes has recorded the Warriors' lone assist.
Perkins is one of the experienced players to watch for Indiana Tech. The senior scored the Warriors' first goal of the season in a 1-1 draw against IU East and was one of the team's primary attacking threats in the contest.
The Warriors also feature a young roster with 10 freshmen and seven sophomores.
