MIDWAY, Ky. -- The River States Conference office announced on Thursday (April 28) the 2022 All-RSC Men's Tennis Teams & Awards. Awards were unveiled in a brief awards ceremony at Top Seed Tennis Club.

It was announced during the awards ceremony that German Collado of the Midway men's tennis team had been named the RSC Men's Tennis Newcomer of the Year. He also earned Second Team All-Conference honors.

The freshman from Alcala de Henares, Spain becomes the first Midway men's tennis player to be named Newcomer of the Year, while he becomes the sixth player in program history to earn All-Conference honors.

Also announced at the awards ceremony was the RSC Men's Tennis Champions of Character Team. Representing Midway on the team was Owen McCarter, a sophomore from White Bluff, Tennessee.

The RSC Men's Tennis Champions of Character Team recognizes one individual who best displays the NAIA's five core character values of respect, responsibility, integrity, servant leadership and sportsmanship.
