Men's bowling places 10th at Western Shootout

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Midway men's bowling team took part in the 32-team Columbia Western Shootout on Saturday and Sunday, placing 10th with a score of 9,481.

The Eagles' top performer actually came from the junior varsity ranks, as Logan Shaner had the 14th-best score of the more than 300 competitors in action, knocking down 1,327 pins. The JV team team finished third out of 14 teams with 9,329 pins.

Logan Tincher was tops on the varsity side, placing 26th with 1,304. Charlie Smith also landed in the top-50, his 1,280 pins good enough for 37th.

Midway will stay busy with competitions each of the next three weekends, starting with the Orange and Black Tournament in Dayton, Ohio next Saturday and Sunday.
