MIDWAY, Ky. - Midway's
Ryan Tuite has been named the Mid-South Conference's Men's Bowler of the Week, following an excellent performance at the Columbia 300 Hoosier Classic last weekend.
In a highly competitive, Tier 1 tournament with over 500 bowlers in the field, Tuite placed 37th with a five-game score of 1,058 pins and a 211.6 per-game average.
The junior from Morrisville, Pa. both began and ended the tournament in great fashion, shooting a 257 in the first game and a 237 in the fifth.
This is the first weekly conference award for Tuite, who is the first member of the Midway men's team to win Bolwer of the Week since
Caleb Marshall on Feb. 13 of last year.
Tuite and the rest of the Eagles will be in Bowling Green on Thursday for the start of the three-day Mid-South Conference Team and Singles Championships. Midway will be the tournament's No. 6 seed.
