FAIRVIEW HEIGHTS, Ill. - Midway men's bowling played another Tier-I tournament over the weekend, placing 22nd at the McKendree National Match Games over the weekend.
The Eagles rolled a 4,809 in team play and a 2,772 in baker to finish with a score of 7,581.
In a field of over 300 bowlers,
Charlie Smith led Midway with a 36th-place finish of 1,044 with a five-game average of 208.8. Smith was at his best in the middle rounds, rolling a 223 in game three and 239 in game four.
Two other Eagles also finished in the top 100.
Vincent Biehn was 83rd with a 965 (193 average) and
Logan Tincher was 98th with a 937 (187.4).
Midway eclipsed 200 pins in three of 16 baker games, led by a 223 in game four.
The Eagles are off until Jan. 10, when they travel to Addison, Ill. for the Storm Baker Challenge.
