MIDWAY, Ky. - An all-tournament performance at a Tier-I event has produced a Mid-South Men's Bowler of the Week award for Midway's Charlie Smith.

Smith placed fourth in a field of over 200 at the Bowlero South Collegiate Classic over the weekend, finishing with a final score of 1,130 and a five-game average of 226.

The highlight was the final game of team play, where his score of 280 was not only the best of the round, but the highest individual-round score of the entire tournament.

Now a junior, this is the first career Bowler of the Week award for Smith, who is the second Eagle to win the honor this season. The other went to Vincent Biehn, who won on Oct. 14.

Midway is off until Nov. 14-15, when it travels to Topeka, Kan. forthe NAIA BCA Invitational.
