BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - An excellent day by Charlie Smith was the highlight for the Midway men's bowling team at the singles and doubles portion of the Mid-South Championships Thursday.
Smith was second amongst all individuals with a three-round score of 675, coming in behind only Chalres Wilken (715) of Cumberlands. His final round score of 267 tied for the second best round of anyone at the tournament.
He and Caleb Marshall also had a great day in doubles competition, taking third with 1,254 pins. The duo shined in the third and final round too, recording a 471, the second-best round of any team.
Logan Tincher was Midway's second-best individual, tying for 20th with 593. Tincher and Vincen Biehn also placed 15th in doubles with 1,156.
Midway opens team play at 10 a.m. against Cumberland Friday.
