SMYRNA, Tenn. - Midway women's bowling took part in a pair of Mid-South Conference tournaments over the weekend, fairing much better in the second.

After placing 11th at the Greater Nashville Open Saturday, the Eagles jumped three spots to eighth at the Brandon Burns Memorial on Sunday.

The Eagles had a final score of 4,564, with a 3,241 in team play and a 1,323 in Baker.

Maggie Coleman earned herself a top-20 finish, placing 17th with a 750 final score and 187.5 average. Coleman's best game was a 217 in the opener.

Savanna Hoyt-Siler came in 35th with a 707 and 176.75 average. Hoyt-Siler was even better than Coleman in the opening round, rolling a 224.

Kaitlyn McNutt (54th, 665) and Madison Blankenship (78th, 567) also finished in the top-100.

The Eagles rolled a 234 in the third Baker game, just three pins shy of Milligan's top-round score of 237.

Midway upped its final score by more than 200 pins from Saturday, finishing with a 4,771. The Eagles got a 3,446 in team rounds and 1,325 in Baker.

Hoyt-Siler worked her way into the top-10, finishing seventh with an 803 over four games (200.75 average). After struggling a bit in the opening game, she topped 200 in each of the last three, highlighted by a 234 in the fourth.

McNutt got into the top-20 as well, rolling a 754 (188.5 average). Coleman was 40th with a 696 and Blankenship finished 61st with a 643.

Midway's top Baker game Sunday came in the opening game, where it rolled a 210.

The Eagles will travel to Marietta, Ga. for the Bowlero Southern Collegiate Shootout, a Tier-I event, next Saturday and Sunday.
