BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - The fifth-seeded Midway women's bowling team was knocked out of the double-elimination Mid-South Bowling Championships on Friday, losing 4-0 to No. 6 seed Shawnee State.
The Eagles,
who fell to the loser's bracket with a loss to No. 4 Cumberlands on Friday, suffered a pair of agonizing defeats in games two and four, dropping both by a single pin. They lost 150-149 in game two and 180-179 in game four.
Midway wouldn't be as competitive in the other games, with the Bears taking game one 183-153 and game three 214-163.
Currently, the Eagles have one other match on their schedule, as they are set to take part in the Columbia 300 Hoosier Classic in Indianapolis next Saturday and Sunday.
