STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. - The Midway women's bowling team began the 2025-26 campaign at the Tier-I Midwest Collegiate Championships, a two-day event that concluded Sunday.
The Eagles had a score of 3,952 in team competition while getting 2,634 in baker for a final tally of 6,586.
Top returner
Maggie Coleman led the team with a 25th-place performance in individual competition, knocking down 960 pins over five games for a 192 average.
Coleman's best scores came in the first and last games, where she rolled a 199 and 196 respectively.
In a field of over 300 bowlers, freshmen
Savanna Hoyt-Siler (75th, 861 pins) and
Kaitlyn McNutt (83rd, 839) both made the top-100 in their collegiate debuts.
As a team, the Eagles topped out at 206 in game four of Baker play.
Midway is back in action next weekend, traveling to Indianapolis for the Columbia 300 Western Shootout on Saturday and Sunday.
