CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - The Midway competitive cheer team had its two highest scores and best-ever finish in the second round of the two-round Campbellsville Invite on Saturday.

The Eagles followed a fourth-place finish in the opening round with a runner-up showing in round two, finishing with a score of 84.88 This was just ahead of the 84.65 of third-place Pikeville and behind only the 88.83 of the University of the Cumberlands.

This is the highest ever finish by a Midway team, topping a trio of third-place finishes last season.

Midway's opening-round 84.38 also beat the previous program-record score of 83, set at the Indiana Wesleyan Wildcat Invitational last February. 

The Eagles return to action on Feb. 28 for an invitational at Pikeville.
