Cameron shoots +1 on final day of nationals

YPSILANTI, Mich. - Kasey Cameron followed her worst showing of the NAIA Women's Golf Championships with her best, concluding her sensational freshman campaign on a high note Friday.

Cameron finished four days of competition at 21 shots over par with a final tally of 309, highlighted by an excellent, one-over par score of 73 Friday.

Following a difficult Thursday, where she shot eleven over and didn't record a single birdie all day, Cameron got back to form Friday. Opening on the back nine, she was even par through 11 holes, recording birdies on holes 13 and 18, both par fours.

She stumbled a bit with a double bogey on the par-four third hole, but recovered with five-consecutive pars. She then wrapped her season with another birdie on a par-five ninth hole she recorded a double bogey on the day prior.

Cameron played the first two rounds with her Midway teammates on Tuesday and Wednesday, where she made the individual cut as her nine-over par score of 153 earned her a spot given to players in the top-30.

The freshman from Richmond, Ky. is the second Midway player to make the individual cut, joining 2017 qualifier Kathryn Lawler.

She was also the River States Conference Golfer and Newcomer of the Year in 2025, helping Midway secure its first RSC title and national berth since 2021.
