SILVIS, Ill. – Midway concluded another successful men's golf season during the second round of the NAIA Men's Golf National Championship, shooting a team score of 301 (+17) at TPC Deere Run.
The Eagles
made a four-stroke improvement over their opening-round performance, finishing play with a 606 (+38).
The round was highlighted by a standout showing from
Hayes Mason, who posted a one-over-par 72. Mason was in brilliant form on the front-nine, recording a two-under-par 33 with birdies on the third and seventh holes.
Mason concluded his excellent career with a two-round, five-over par score of 147.
Fellow senior
Jack Bedell followed with a second-consecutive 75 (+4). He put together a steady round that included a front-nine 36 and a 39 on the back, minimizing mistakes and adding a birdie on the par-three 12th.
Benjamin Spencer turned in a 76 (+5) in his second round, a two-stroke improvement from day one. Spencer played consistently throughout, posting nines of 39 and 37 with a birdie on the par-three 16th.
Tristan Mitchell continued his progress with a 78 (+7), four strokes better than he shot Wednesday. He recorded 39s on both the front and back nines and found a birdie on the par-three 12th to help offset a few early bogeys.
On the outside of the scoring was
Gage Gregory, who struggled to find momentum in round two, shooting a 14-over par 85.
Midway ends the 2025 season having successfully reached the National Championship Tournament for the fourth time in five years.
