MIDWAY, Ky. - A new season of Midway women's volleyball will begin with a busy day in Batavia, Ohio.
The Eagles will open the year with two matches in an Aug. 23 invitational. The first will be against Cincinnati-Clermont (Ohio) at noon with a second coming against Franklin College (Ind.) at 2 p.m.
A week later, Midway will take part in another invitational, this one a two-day affair hosted by River States Conference foe Rio Grande (Ohio) on Aug. 30-31. Opponents for this invite have not yet been announced.
On Sept. 4, the Eagles will play the first of 10 scheduled home matches when nearby Georgetown College comes to Marshall Gymnasium at 6 p.m.
River States Conference play begins and ends of the road, the first match coming against West Virginia Tech on Sept. 12 and the last against Shawnee State (Ohio) in the regular season finale Nov. 8.
