MIDWAY, Ky. - Midway came out in fifth place in a Midwest Sprint Football League poll released Tuesday morning.
The Eagles got 15 vote points to land between fourth place Quincy (18) and sixth-place Oakland City (six).
In a tight race for the top spot, Saint Mary of the Woods came out ahead with 32 points, one more than Calumet. The two teams have played in the MSFL championship game in each of the last three years, with Calumet winning the previous two.
The third-place position went Bellarmine (23 points). First-place votes were split up between Saint Mary of the Woods (three), Calumet (two) and Quincy (one).Â
Fresh off
the first MSFL playoff appearance in program history, Midway opens the 2025 season at home against Saint Mary of th Woods at 1 p.m. on Sept. 13.
