MIDWAY, Ky. - A superb performance at the Pretty Lake Invitational earned Midway junior Tristan Mitchell River States Conference Men's Golfer of the Week honors, the league announced on Monday. 

Mitchell captured the award following a second-place, four-under par score of 212 at last week's invitational. This helped lead the Eagles to a first-place team finish in which they shot a three-round score of 883 (+19), the fifth-best three-round score in program history.

The junior from Cynthiana, Ky. also recorded the third-best, single-round score of 67 (-5) in the second round, which was also tied for the best individual round of any player in the tournament.

The is the first RSC Player of the Week award for Mitchell and the first won this season by the defending conference champion Eagles.

Midway is off until Sept. 29, when it travels to Daniels, W. Va. for the two-day River States Conference Fall Preview, an event the Eagles have won four of the previous five seasons.
