MIDWAY, Ky. - Midway's
Gage Gregory closed out the fall portion of the schedule with a River States Conference Men's Golfer of the Week award.
Playing in a loaded field at the Bojangles Invitational on Saturday, Gregory finished in a tie for 13th with a two-round, four-over par score of 148, recording a total of five birdies in two rounds of play.
Prior to the final round being rained out on Sunday, the Eagles were in fourth place in a field where nine of 11 teams were either ranked or receiving votes in the NAIA national rankings.
The Eagles finished ahead of No. 16 Coastal Georgia, No. 21 Point, No. 25 Northwestern Ohio and receiving votes teams Truett McConnel, Faulkner and Tennessee Wesleyan in the final standings.
This is the second Player of the Week award for Gregory,
who also captured it on March 31. He is the second Eagle to win it this fall, joining teammate
Tristan Mitchell, who
received it on Sept. 15.
