MIDWAY, Ky. - A standout performance at the Klash in Kentucky over the weekend earned
Gage Gregory the first River States Conference Men's Golfer of the Week award of his career.
The junior from Monticello, Ky. had the best individual performance of anyone in the 54-man field in Sunday's second round, shooting a three-under par 70. He registered six birdies on the day, including three in a row on holes 3-5.
Gregory finished the two-round tournament in a tie for second place, two shots off the lead with a three-over par 149. As a team, the Eagles were also two strokes off the lead in second place, finishing just behind Carthage College.
This is the fifth time this season an Eagle has been named RSC Golfer of the Week, with the other four going to
Hayes Mason.
Midway has a week off before hosting the Eagle Invitational at the Griffin Gate Golf Club in Lexington on April 7-8.
