GRAYSON, Ky. - Midway's men's golf team concluded the 2026 regular season with a runner-up finish at the 12-team Kentucky Christian Spring Invitational that wrapped Tuesday.
Johnson (Tenn.), which was one shot back of Midway entering Tuesday's second round, rallied into the top spot with a two-day, 42-over par score of 618, two strokes better than the Eagles.
Tied atop the scoresheet was the trio of
Eli Stamper,
Gage Gregory and
Tristan Mitchell, who finished in a three-way deadlock for seventh place, all shooting a nine-over 153.
Stamper shot 77 on day one and 76 on day two, with Gregory having the same scores in reverse. Mitchell made the biggest jump, improving five strokes on the second day, his two-over 74 the best round recorded by any Eagle in the tournament.
Elsewhere,
Gabe Cole tied for 19th with a 159 (+15),
Kobe Ingram tied for 23rd at 161 (+17) and
Hunter Graham tied for 26th with a 162 (+18).
Midway will now have nearly two weeks to prepare for the River States Conference Championships, which will be held in Daniels, W. Va. on April 26-28. The Eagles have won the event four of the last five years
and enter as the defending champions.
