MOREHEAD, Ky. - A pair of Midway riders advanced to the western semifinals, with
Lauren Arens-Ennis earning a first-place finish at the Regional Shows, hosted by the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association on Saturday.
Arens-Ennis earned her win in level-one horsemanship. This secured her spot at the semifinal tournament, which will be held at Murray State University in Murray, Ky. on March 21-22.
Joining her there will be
Tate Gill, who was reserve champion in open horsemanship Saturday. Gill was also honored with the IHSA's sportsmanship award.
The Eagles, who were honored as the reserve champion in Zone 6, Region 3, had seven other riders place in four different divisions on Saturday.
