MILL SPRING, N.C. - Midway's western equestrian season came to a close with
Lauren Arens-Ennis placing sixth in level-one horsemanship at the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association National Championships Saturday.
This concluded an excellent junior season for Arens-Ennis, who qualified for nationals for the first time in three years at Midway.
She won multiple events during the year and was a reserve champion in level-one horsemanship
at the IHSA Semifinals in March.
Arens-Ennis was one of three equestrian riders to compete at the national event held at the Tryon International Indoor Complex in Mill Spring, N.C. this weekend.
Western teammate
Tate Gill placed fifth
in open horsemanship while hunt seat rider Reese Dorsey was ninth
in intermediate flat. Gill and Dorsey both rode on Friday.
