MIDWAY, Ky. - Midway's Esports season came to a close Friday, as the Call of Duty team went 1-2 at the double-elimination CollegeCOD National Tournament on Friday.
After a 3-0 opening-round loss to St. Clair, the Eagles, the tournament's No. 27 seed, rebounded with a 3-0 victory over Nichols College to stave off elimination.
Unfortunately, the season would end in the next match, via a 3-0 loss to Cal Poly Pomona.
Call of Duty ends 2026 with a 9-8 record. This marked the third year in a row the Eagles had at least one team qualify for a national tournament.
