OXFORD, Oh. - After a successful 2025 season, the Eagles were nabbed third in the 2026 River States Conference coaches poll the league office announced today.
The national championship runner-ups, West Virginia Tech, are this years favorite as they finished with 49 points (seven first place votes). Rio Grande had 43 points and one first place vote putting them in second. Midway comes into the ranking in third with 35 points. The rest of the field in order are: Saint Mary of the Woods (29), Brescia (25), IU Columbus (22), IU East (15) and Kentucky Christian (7).
Midway will have a tough schedule as they close out their season as the regular season ends with West Virginia Tech and Rio Grande visiting Midway.
The Eagles season will begin on August 22 when they travel to Spalding and their home opener is on September 2 as Boyce College comes to Midway.
