OXFORD, Oh. - The 2026 Men and Women River States Conference preseason voting has concluded and Midway was voted fourth in both genders the league office announced Thursday.

Rio Grande come into the season as the favorites in both men and women earning 62 points and six first place votes on the mens side. On the women's side the Red Storm earned 63 points and 7 first place votes. IU East received 58 points for both teams and three first place votes for the men and two for the women. Keeping the trend going, IU Kokomo are third for both teams as they got 51 points for the men and 50 for the women. Midway wearned 41 points for the men and 39 for the women. The complete rankings are as follows:

Men:
1. Rio Grande (62 points, 6 first place votes)
2. IU East (58 points, 3 first place votes)
3. IU Kokomo (51 points)
4. Midway (41 points)
5. St. Mary-of-the-Woods (29 points)
6. IU Columbus (28 points)
