MIDWAY, Ky. - Chloe Kemper scores to tie it late in first half, but two second half goals propel the Warriors to their first victory of the season on Monday afternoon.

The Eagles (2-1) found themselves trailing early after Indiana Tech struck in the 12th minute. Shelby DeRidder found Isidora Pozo, who scored at the 11:01 mark to give the Warriors a 1-0 advantage. 

Indiana Tech continued to apply pressure throughout the opening half, but Lilly Riordan kept the Eagles within striking distance. The senior goalkeeper made five first-half saves, including four over a five-minute stretch late in the period. 

Midway took advantage at the other end just before the break.

In the 42nd minute, Hadley Wilson connected with Chloe Kemper, who found the back of the net for her second goal of the season to pull the Eagles even at 1-1 heading into halftime. 

The tie didn't last long into the second half as Indiana Tech regained the lead in the 52nd minute. Leticia Guimaraes scored at the 51:17 mark to put the Warriors back in front, 2-1. 

Midway looked to answer and earned back-to-back corner kicks less than three minutes later, but the Eagles were unable to find the equalizer.

The Warriors added some insurance in the 73rd minute when Niya King found the back of the net, extending the Indiana Tech advantage to 3-1. 

Midway continued to push forward in the closing minutes. The Eagles earned a pair of corner kicks in the 77th and 78th minutes before Addison Hazlett fired three shots over the final eight minutes, but none found the target. 

Indiana Tech finished the afternoon with a 20-4 advantage in shots and put 10 attempts on goal. Despite the difference in shots, Midway earned a 5-3 advantage in corner kicks, including four in the second half. 

Riordan finished with a season-high seven saves in the full 90 minutes. Kemper recorded Midway's lone shot on goal and her second goal of the season, while Wilson picked up her first assist of the campaign. Hazlett led the Eagles with three shots.
