PERU, Ind. -- The Midway University women's golf team wrapped up their first tournament of the 2021-22 fall season on Tuesday when they played the second round of the IU Kokomo Rock Hollow Invite at the Rock Hollow Golf Club.
The Eagles sat in second place following the opening round and stayed put after dust settled on the second round. Midway fired a 342 in the final round to finish with a 680 which was 12 shots behind IU East (Ind.) who took home the team title with a 668 (331-337).
Leading the charge for the Eagles was the combination of Emilie Hill (Frankfort, Ky.) and Jenna Lewis (Shelbyville, Ky.) who earned All-Tournament Team honors with their respective top five finishes.

Hill shot an 83 in both the first and second rounds to finish with a 166 overall, while Lewis also carded a two-round total of a 166 after shooting an 85 in the final round on Tuesday.
Also carding a top 10 finish was freshman Bree Russell who was making her collegiate debut in the tournament. Russell's best round came on Monday where she shot an 86 en route to a two-round total of a 176.
Up next for the Eagles was the duo of Catie Kelly (Shelbyville, Ky.) and Allie Berry (Bardstown, Ky.). Kelly carded a 12th place finish with a 178 (88-90), while Berry finished in 13th with a 179 (88-91).
Showing a 12-shot improvement from the first to the second round was Addyson Bailey (Bedford, Ind.) who was also making her collegiate debut. Bailey struggled with a 96 in the opening round and followed that up with an 84 on Tuesday to finish with a 180 overall.
Otis Smith's squad will now have the next 10 days off before hitting the road and traveling to Vonore, Tenn. for the TWU Fall Invitational at the Links at Kahite Golf Course on Sept. 25-26.
