Men's Golf completes first two rounds of RSC Fall Preview

Union, Ky. – The Midway men's golf team was back in action today when they played the first two rounds of the River States Conference Men's Golf Fall Preview at Lassing Pointe Golf Course.

The 54-hole tournament will conclude tomorrow when the teams play the final 18 holes.

The Eagles currently sit in 10th place overall after shooting a 665 (333-332) in the first two rounds. They trail Indiana University Kokomo by two strokes and Indiana University East by 12 shots. West Virginia Tech leads the field after shooting a 618 (314-304) in the first two rounds.

Sophomore, Brandon Cambron (Louisville, Ky.) led the Eagles after 36 holes. Cambron shot an 82 in the first round and followed that up with an 83 in his second round to finish with a two-round score of 165.

Finishing one shot behind Cambron was Logan Medley (Lebanon, Ky.). Medley stayed consistent as the two rounds progressed shooting an 83 in both rounds for a 166 overall.

Coming up with the same score was senior, Cole Ballard (Bardstown, Ky.) and sophomore, Austin Mitchell (Louisville, Ky.).

Ballard struggled in his opening round as he finished with an 86, but he recovered and carded an 81 in his second round. Mitchell, on the other hand, shot an 82 in the opening round, but he struggled in his second round shooting an 85.

Justin Graham (Louisville, Ky.) and Granville Hayes (Lawrenceburg, Ky.) were the final two Eagles in action at Lassing Pointe. The duo finished within one shot of each other as Graham fired a 172 (85-87) and Hayes finished with a 173 (86-87).
