The Fall World Series concluded Monday with Team Gold winning the series three games to one. The highly competitive series brought an end to the Midway Baseball fall practice season.
"We had a good fall," noted Eagle skipper Luther Bramblett. "It's always fun watching the guys compete in the Fall World Series to end the fall. The guys competed well and they were good games to watch."

Hector Quinones (Barceloneta, PR) was named FWS MVP. He led the Gold Team with four RBI's and scored two runs. On the mound, he tossed seven shutout innings, picking up a win and a save. He allowed just three hits and punched out 10.

Josh Wenning (Palmyra, IN) - Wenning led Team Gold with a .333 average. He scored two runs and had two stolen bases.
Danny Maguire (Dana Point, CA) - Maguire hit .300 for Team Gold. He had a HR, 2B, two RBI and scored a run.
Reid Battles (Denton, TX) - Battles hit .300 for Team Gold. He had a HR, 3B, scored four runs and had two RBI.
Carlos Cespedes (Santo Domingo, DR) - Cespedes bated .286 for Team Blue. He homered, had four RBI and scored a run.
Chase Heslep (Bellingham, WA) - Heslep picked up a win and no decision for Team Gold. He tossed eight innings, with a 1.13 ERA and eight K's.
Nathan Getzin (Louisville, KY) - Getzin picked up a win and save for Team Gold, tossing three shutout innings on no hits and three K's.
Jake McCoy (Mesa, AZ) - McCoy had a win and loss in three appearances. He tossed 6.1 innings, allowing two runs and punched out nine.
