Florence, Ky. – For the second week in a row, junior, Kindsay Miller-Riney garnered the River States Conference Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week honor, conference officials announced on Monday.
The honor marks the second time in her career that she has won the River States' weekly honor. She also won the award last week on September 12th when she scored four goals and added two assists against Johnson (Tenn.) in her team's season opener.
The Bardstown, Ky. native followed up her four goal and two assists performance in her season opener with four more goals against Kentucky Christian last Tuesday, September 13th.
Miller-Riney now has eight goals to go along with two assists in 2016. Her eight goals is currently the best the conference as she ranks 18th in the nation. She also ranks 20th in the country in total points with 18.
Miller-Riney and the remainder of the women's soccer team is off to a 2-0 start on the year. They'll look to continue their perfect start when they host Pikeville (Ky.) on Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Midway Soccer Field.
