eSports roundup: Call of Duty, Rocket League keep win streaks going

MIDWAY, Ky. - Though its overall 12-match win streak came to an end, Midway eSports still saw a great deal of success during a busy week of competition.

CALL OF DUTY

Call of Duty earned a fourth straight win on Sept. 18, defeating UOttawa Garnet 3-0.

Trevor Howard and Jonathan Cain led a balanced attack with 60 and 59 kills respectively. Alex Oditt (54) and Brayden Goins (40) also had at least 40 kills in the victory

ROCKET LEAGUE

Trevor Howard had nine goals and three saves as Rocket League earned a 3-0 win over Carlow on Friday.

Nicholas Newman added six goals and three assists with Alex Oditt adding a team-best five assists.

LEAGUE OF LEGENDS

League of Legends had a two-match win streak snapped on Oct. 18, losing 2-0 to Centre College. The team also fell 2-0 to KSU Team Gold Friday.

OVERWATCH

Overwatch had its five-game win streak snapped on Friday, losing for just the second time this season in a 3-0 final against CSU Vikes White.
