MIDWAY, Ky. Following the best game of her college career, Kassidy Daugherty has been named the River States Women's Basketball Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.

It's the first weekly award for the junior from Owensboro and the first for the Eagles during the 2023-24 season.

It comes after Daugherty had 29 points and seven rebounds, both career highs, in an 83-76 win over Taylor (Ind.) last week. She scored 16 of those points in the third quarter and finished the game 6-of-9 from 3-point range.

Daugherty enters a Monday game against Cumberland (Tenn.) averaging a team-best 15.5 points per game.
