Petrey and Lords earn Second Team All-Conference honors

MIDWAY, Ky. – On Thursday, the Mid-South Conference announced the 2022-23 women's bowling All-MSC teams. The Midway women's bowling team saw senior Taylor Petrey (Corbin, Ky.) and junior Afton Lords (Heriman, Utah) selected to the second team.

In order to be eligible for all-conference honors, bowlers had to compete in at least 17 games during the conference season.

In 22 conference games, Lords toppled 4,110 pins for an average of 186.32 per game. Lords rolled seven games higher than 200 and recorded a high game of 255 in game one of the Thomas Burris Memorial on January 22.

Petrey threw 24 conference games and totaled 4,421 pins for an average of 184.21 per game. She rolled seven games greater than 200 and recorded her high round of 234 in game four of the Brandon Burns Memorial on November 20.

The Midway women's bowling team will return to the lanes to compete at the MSC Championships. The two-day tournament opens on Friday, February 10 in Bowling Green, Ky. and will wrap up on Saturday February 11.
