GEORGETOWN, Ky. - It was a historic Saturday for the Midway University cheerleading team, which recorded its best-ever score in a team competition at the Tiger Invite on Saturday.

The Eagles placed third in the seven-team tournament with a two-round score of 82.6. Midway came in behind just Georgetown (89.08) and Pikeville (83.02). Scores were out of a possible 100 points.

Midway will look to build on Saturday's showing at its next competition, which will be the Wildcat Invite in Marion, Ind. on Feb. 10.
