MIDWAY, Ky. - Midway Esports went 4-2 during the week, with Call of Duty and League of Legends combining to go 3-0.
CALL OF DUTY
Call of Duty had a dominant week, earning a 3-0 win over South Florida Monday before beating Louisiana State University Alexandria by the same score Thursday.
Against USF, Brayden Goins led the team in kills in every match, highlighted by his 34 in the first game and 28 in the third. Lahsen Essadaoui had a team-high 14 assists, with Ethan Schott and Logan Ramirez right behind with 13 and 12 respectively.
LEAGUE OF LEGENDS
League of Legends improved to 5-0 with a 2-0 win over Johnson and Wales Blue (R.I.) on Tuesday. All five wins have been by the final score of 2-0.
Gabriel Plata led the team with 32 kills while he and Dylan Mullannix tied for the team lead with 32 assists. Mullannix recorded 26 assists in the opening game.
Cody Griffith, Riley Ogden and Savanna Neace had significant contributions as well, recording, 19, 18 and 16 kills respectively.
OVERWATCH
Overwatch easily handled Northern Illinois Huskie Gaming Black on Thursday, behind 85 kills from Jett Barham 67 assists by Savanna Neace.
The team wasn't able to complete a perfect week, unfortunately, losing 3-1 to Augustana (Ill.) Friday night.
ROCKET LEAGUE
Rocket League struggled in its one match during the week, a 3-1 loss to Concordia (Neb.) on Thursday.
Midway has just one match schedule last week, with League of legends taking on Thomas College (Maine) on Tuesday. All matches can be streamed on the Midway Twitch page.
