MIDWAY, Ky. - League of Legends completed a perfect regular season with a 2-0 win over Louisville Tuesday and now will now attempt to capture a second playoff title in seven months.
After
winning a Southeast Region Championship last April, LOL carried that momentum into this fall, where it has gone 7-0 with all seven wins being via sweep. The Eagles have won nine-consecutive regular-season matches dating back to last year.
Midway will now turn its attention to the National Esports Collegiate Conferences postseason, where it earned the No. 2 seed in the East Playoffs. The Eagles will open against Mount Vernon Nazarene (Ohio) at 9 p.m. Tuesday.
The Eagles had two undefeated fall regular seasons. Call of Duty, which last competed on Oct. 29, put together a record of 5-0.
League of Legends postseason matches
can be streamed on the program's Twitch page.
