MIDWAY, Ky. - For the third time in the last two season, Midway forward Haylee Applegate has been named River States Conference Offensive Player of the Week.
Applegate, who was given the honor Monday afternoon, earned it after recording three goals and an assist in three opening-week matches, helping lead the Eagles to a 2-1 record.
The highlight was a two-goal, one-assist performance in a 6-0 blowout win over Defiance (Ohio) on Saturday.
The junior standout, a First-Team All-River States Conference player last season, previously earned Player of the Week designation in back-to-back weeks in 2023, winning on Oct. 9 and Oct. 16.
She won't be able to repeat this following week, however, as the Eagles are off until Sept. 11, when they will host in-state foe Asbury in their home opener.
