MOREHEAD, Ky. - Midway sent three riders to the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association Regionals in an excellent weekend at the Morehead State University shows.
The Eagles earned overall high point team honors on day one Saturday, with two-time regional qualifier
Sadie Tullock being named overall high point rider on day two Sunday, where Midway earned a reserve high point finish.
SATURDAY
Tullock and
Tate Gill were regional qualifiers in level-two horsemanship, finishing second and third respectively.
They were joined by
Kaylee Klein, who qualified with a first-place finish in level-one horsemanship.
Klein captured one of Midway's five first-place performances Saturday, and one of the two in level-one, where she was joined by
Sofia Getty.
Other winners were
Emily Sue Watts in beginner horsemanship, and the duo of
Isabel Billings and Elizabeth Ulbricht in rookie B horsemanship.
SUNDAY
Tullock's high-point performance was highlighted by second-place finishes in level-two ranch riding and open horsemanship, the first of which earned her another regional qualification.
Tullock was second to teammate
Alana Utlak in open horsemanship.
Watts and Getty repeated as winners in beginner and level-one horsemanship, while
Kayla Lawson came out on top in ranch riding.
The Eagles are back in two weeks, traveling to Oxford, Ohio for the Miami University Shows on Feb. 8-9.
