LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Midway women's cross country team placed 12th at a talent-heavy Louisville Classic on Saturday, finishing with a score of 382.
As she has in all four of the Eagles' races this season,
Stevie McSorley led the way, this time with a 46th-place run of 20:41.6. McSorley was part of an extremely tight finish that saw spots 44-46 be separated by just a half-second.
Ariah Egleston and
Riley Gillis also landed in the top half of the 205-racer field. Egleston was 78th in 21:28.6, Gillis 90th in 21:51.4.
Elsewhere,
Macy Adams was 135th in 23:15.2,
Abby Baldridge was 138th in 23:27.5,
Alarra Cobbins was 194th in 28:50.8 and
Mariacamila Navarro was 200th in 33:05.8.
Midway's next race will be the Jenna Strong Classic in Wilmington, Ohio on Oct. 17.
