OWENSBORO, Ky. - A 12th-place, medalist performance by
Stevie McSorley headlined a third-place finish by the Midway women's cross country team at the Panther Prowl race at Yellow Creek Park in Owensboro on Friday night.
For the second race in a row, McSorley was the Eagles' top performer, finishing the 5K race in 20:59.2, earning a medalist spot given to the race's top-15 finishers.
Also finishing in the top-20 was
Ariah Egleston, who came in 18th in 21:25.3.
Others competing Friday were Riley Gilis (27th, 22:23.7),
Macy Adams (32nd, 23:15.5),
Abby Baldridge (33rd, 23:58.7) and
Mariacamila Navarro (49th, 31:49.1).
The Eagles get two weeks off before hosting the Midway Invitational at Falling Springs Park in Versailles on Sept. 19.Â
