MIDWAY, Ky. - The team portion of the Midway Esports season concluded with the Apex squad competing in the Octane Collegiate playoffs.

The Eagles reached the second-round after placing fourth in the play-in portion, but then fell to the No. 12 spot in a second round in which only the top-10 teams advanced.

Apex ended the semester in sixth place out of 47 teams in the open division.

INDIVIDUAL PLAY

Cody Griffith and Riley Ogden continued to compete in individual fighting game competition, with both earning a win during the week.

Griffith won his only match, 5-0 against an opponent from Baylor (Texas), while Ogden was 1-2, his victory coming against Alaska Anchorage by the score of 3-2.
