OXFORD, Ohio - Five Midway western riders qualified out of the Zone 6 Regional Tournament hosted by the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association on Saturday, earning a berth in the Western Semifinals.
Four of those riders were region champions.
Tate Gill won at level-two horsemanship,
Kaylee Klein at level-one horsemanship,
Sofia Getty at rookie horsemanship and
Amelia Lee at level-two ranch riding.
Also reaching the semifinals was
Alana Utlak, who was reserve champion in level-two horsemanship.
Midway got third-place finishes from
Sadie Tullock and
Stacey Geissler as well, Tullock getting it in level-two ranch riding and horsemanship, Geissler in rookie horsemanship.
The Eagles were also recognized as the top scoring team in their region and will look to keep things going at the IHSA Western Semifinals, which will be help in Canyon, Texas on March 15-16.
