OXFORD, Ohio - Midway followed up a reserve high point Saturday with a high-point team finish Sunday at the Miami University (Ohio) shows.
Amelia Lee earned high-point rider honors Saturday with the team earning a semifinal spot at the upcoming Zone 6 Regional Tournament.
SATURDAY
Lee's high-point finish was highlighted by a first-place, regional-qualifying performance in ranch riding. She will be joined at regionals by
Sadie Tullock, who qualified with a runner-up ranch riding performance Saturday.
It was one of two first-place showings for Lee who also won in level-two horesemanship.
Midway also got first-place showings from
Isabel Billings in rookie horsemanship and both
Stacey Geissler and
Audrey Mosby, who split the win in level-one horsemanship.
Other Eagle runners-up Saturday were Elizabeth Ulbricht in rookie horsemanship and
Kaylee Klein in level-two horsemanship.
SUNDAY
Highlighting the high-point performance on day two were wins by
Kayla Lawson in ranch riding,
Sofia Getty in level-one horsemanship and
Allison Kratzer in level-two horsemanship.
Tate Gill also earned a regional spot in level-two horsemanship, where he finished fourth.
Stacey Geissler came in just behind Getty in level-one with
Isabel Billings taking second in rookie horsemanship.
Lee and Klein took third in reining and level-two horsemanship respectively, with Lee earning the first-place spot in her class.
Midway will be back in Oxford in two weeks, competing in Zone 6 Regionals on Feb. 22.
