MIDWAY, Ky. - Reese Dorsey got reserve high-point honors and two hunt seat riders earned regional spots at a makeup Midway University Show on Friday.
Originally slated as the second day of a two-day show at Midway, the event
was postponed due to weather concerns back on Feb. 17.
Dorsey's top showing came in intermediate flat, where she took first place. She was also the runner-up in intermediate fences.
The Eagles earned a three-way tie for first in limit flat, the honor split between
Josephine Rodriguez-Thomas, Cassie Doucette and
Alexis Williams. Kylie Hayde was first in novice flat, coming in one spot ahead of teammate Evie Clare.
Other Midway runners-up were
Abbie Wright in open fences,
Mary Helen Hickey in limit fences and
Rachel Watters in pre-novice.
Riders earning a spot in Saturday's Intercollegiate Horse Show Association Regionals were
Kayden Gundry in open flat and
Bronwyn Wright in limit flat.
The Eagles will host the IHSA Regionals, which begin at 10 a.m.
