RIO GRANDE, Ohio - Midway added three more all-conference finishes to its tally, as the women's track and field team finished in fifth place in the final standings of the River States Conference Outdoor Championships.
The Eagles, who entered the day in
first following four wins and six all-conference finishes on day one Friday, finished with 108 points. Rio Grande won with 150.50, while Brescia was second with 134.50.
The top performer for Midway Saturday was sprinter
Emilee Cecil, who took third in both the 100- and 200-meter dash. Cecil ran a 12.66 in the 100 and 26.05 in the 200.
Fresh off her win in the javelin Friday,
Trinity Gottler was named all-conference for the third time at the meet with a third-place, 37.91-meter throw in discus.

Maddi Reed both had fourth-place finishes Saturday as well, Gottler in the shot put (11.78), Reed in the 100 hurdles (16.30).
Other individual scorers were
Trinity Smith in the 800 (fifth, 2:25.69),
Ariah Egleston in the 1,500 (sixth, 5:17.95),
Stevie McSorley in the 800 (seventh, 2:27.39) and
Kashlynn Rice in the 400 hurdles (seventh, 1:11.44).
In relays, the 4x100 team of Rice, Reed,
Machaiah Poynter and
Sarah Baker was fifth in 54:20, while the 4x400 team of MsSorley, Smith,
Abby Baldridge and Egleston placed sixth in 4:31.38.
Midway's next scheduled match is the Lee Last Chance in Cleveland, Tenn. on May 10.Â
