VERSAILLES, Ky. - The Midway men's and women's golf programs are proud to announce a new partnership with The Woodford Club, which will now serve at the Eagles' home course.
"I want to thank the Woodford Club for allowing us to partner with them," said Midway coach
Otis Smith. "I think it's great partnership experience for the student-athletes at Midway. I want to give special thanks to the owners Randy Clay and Chet Blackey for allowing us to come and be a part of this."
"I also want to give a special thanks to Bob Baldassari, the in-house PGA Director at the Club. He helped streamline this process to get us in the door."
The club will serve as the teams' practice site and will also host the annual Midway Eagle Invitational in the spring.
"The Woodford Club is excited to welcome the Midway University golf teams as their home course," said Randy Clay. "As we celebrate our 60th anniversary, this partnership with historic Midway University not only solidifies the importance of golf in Woodford County but propels us into a new chapter of providing a place for great golf and lasting memories."
Since their formation in 2015, Smith has led the Eagle golf programs to 10 league championships, with the
Eagle men and
women winning River States Conference titles in 2025.
