MIDWAY, Ky. - Following a standout performance over the weekend, Midway freshman
Rhys Dickson has been named River States Conference Offensive Player of the Week.
In a 7-0 win over Defiance (Ohio) on Saturday, Dickson finished with three goals and an assist, recording the ninth hat trick in program history.
Dickson is the first Midway player to win the Offensive Player of the Week Award since Sept. 14, 2021,
when the honor went to Unaiz Shajani. The most recent weekly award won by a Midway player was when goalie
Connor Vincent was named
Defensive Player of the Week last Oct. 14.
He was also one of two Midway freshmen soccer players to win an offensive award this week,
joining women's team counterpart Sloane Pollock.
The Eagles, who are 1-0-1 on the season, host Cleary (Mich.) in their season opener on Thursday.
